Spring / Upright & Strong – T (Short Course)

This is a 6 week class.

This class is perfect for anyone who spends lots of time at a desk, feels their balance isn’t what it was, wants to improve muscular strength and bone density or just wants to feel more upright and aligned in everyday life.

The passage of time and the rigours of daily life can leave us all feeling more stooped and tight across our neck, chest and shoulders. Increasingly longevity research is highlighting the importance of building and maintaining muscle mass as we age. It is also known that resistance work is essential to improving the quality of our bone density as our hormone balances shift through life.

We have designed this Pilates class to help you stand taller and feel stronger. It’s about building strength from the inside out, with a focus on muscle development and bone density balance and posture optimisation.

It will be taught by a very experienced teacher who is also a Chartered Physiotherapist and in a small group with a maximum of 10 people.

We’ll work through a series of Pilates exercises designed to strengthen your core, open up your chest, and align your spine. We’ll incorporate the Balance Wedge®, hand weights and other small Pilates equipment. Expect to exercise your main muscle groups including abdominals and glutes and leave each session feeling a little more grounded, upright and strong — literally.

No prior Pilates experience needed. If you have osteoporosis please speak to us before booking for personalised guidance.
