Summer / Reformer 1 – TH (Short Course)

This is a 6 week class (short course). These Reformer Pilates classes are for those who have never done Pilates before or may have done some mat work but are keen to work on the Reformer. Emphasis will be placed on learning to use the machine to give the body resistance and support. Maximum of 4 participants. You are very welcome to join a class once the term has commenced.

Summer term

Summer / Adult Ballet – TH

This is a 12 week class. Adult Ballet classes are suitable for all levels and a basic knowledge of classical ballet is recommended but not essential. These classes are a traditional ballet routine that will include the Pilates principles of flowing movement, concentration and breath. The classes will also focus on enhancing balance, muscle stretching and strengthening. The majority of each session will take place at the ballet barre. For those who wish to avoid jumping or turning, variations in the class programme will be provided for you. These classes are a fantastic complement to your existing Pilates programme. Maximum of 10 participants. You are very welcome to join a class once the term has commenced.

Summer term

Summer / Men’s Reformer – F

This is a 6 week class. This class on the Reformer will be taught at a level that will challenge, strengthen and stretch each attendee whilst addressing some of the specific joints and muscle groups that are points of weakness and strain unique to the male body. It will aim to improve each client’s physical condition seeking to reduce day-to-day aches and pains whilst enhancing performance and physicality for sport and hobbies. Maximum of 4 participants. You are very welcome to join a class once the term has commenced.

Summer / Reformer 2 – F

This is a 12 week class. These Reformer Pilates classes are for those who have had at least 10 sessions on the Reformer either privately or in groups. Movement will become more dynamic and challenging working with a moving platform whilst patterning movement. Maximum of 4 participants. You are very welcome to join a class once the term has commenced.

Summer / Intermediate Mat – F

This is a 12 week class. These Pilates classes on the mat offer a perfect transition between Improver and Intermediate Mat Classes. They are perfect for those who want to progress but at a slightly slower pace, maybe due to a previous injury or current movement restriction. Maximum of 12 participants. You are very welcome to join a class once the term has commenced.

Summer / Reformer 3 – F

This is a 12 week class. These Reformer classes are equivalent to the advanced mat and are for those who have had 30 plus sessions on the Reformer either in groups or privately. They are fast in tempo and flowing in transitions demanding really good technique. Not suitable for anyone with an injury. Maximum of 4 participants. You are very welcome to join a class once the term has commenced.

Summer / Reformer 2/3 – F

This is a 12 week class. These Reformer Pilates classes are for those who have had at least 20 sessions on the Reformer either privately or in groups. Movement will become more dynamic and challenging working with a moving platform whilst patterning more complex movement. They are progressively fast in tempo and increasingly flowing in transitions demanding really good technique. Maximum of 4 participants. You are very welcome to join a class once the term has commenced.

Summer / Barre – S

This is a 12 week class. Barre classes are suitable for all levels and guarantee to challenge you whatever your level may be! These classes are a fast-paced fusion of dance, Pilates and sculpting exercises at the ballet barre which give you a lean and chiselled body fast! The class combines the principles and safety of Pilates with functional standing dance movements. With no dance experience necessary these classes are accessible to everyone. They can also complement your existing Pilates programme. Meet you at the barre! Maximum of 12 participants. You are very welcome to join a class once the term has commenced.

This is a 10 week class. These advanced Pilates classes on the mat are for those who want to learn the classical mat in its purest form and in the correct sequence. These classes have a fast tempo with flowing transitions. Not suitable for anyone with an injury. Maximum of 12 participants. You are very welcome to join a class once the term has commenced.

Summer / Silver Swans® Ballet – M

This is a 10 week class.  We are excited to introduce a ballet exercise class specifically designed by the Royal Academy of Dance based on research into best exercise practice for older people. These classes maintain the Pilates principles of breath, balance and flowing movement to create elegant poise and wonderful posture.  They improve core strength and balance and can help with osteoporosis and falls prevention. Importantly they are sociable and fun.  Although designed for the over 55s, everyone is welcome. Ballet shoes are not essential for your first session but your teacher will guide you should you love it so much that you decide to enrol for the term. Maximum of 8 participants. Movement will become much more flowing and dynamic and therefore challenging. Maximum of 12 participants. You are very welcome to join a class once the term has commenced.
