Spring / Rehab Reformer 1 – M (Short Course)

This is a 6 week class. Our specialised Rehabilitation Pilates Reformer class is designed for clients who due to injury, surgery or chronic pain cannot attend other Reformer classes. This class is taught in a small group – maximum 4 people – so you can expect exercises tailored to your specific needs and physical limitations, guided by a highly experienced Pilates instructor who is also a Chartered Physiotherapist. The Reformer provides resistance and assistance, helping you move safely and effectively without strain. Sessions will aim to build your strength and flexibility and improve your alignment and coordination. This class is ideal if you are • Recovering from orthopaedic injuries (e.g. back, knee, shoulder) • Post-surgery (with medical clearance) • Managing a condition such as osteopenia, osteoporosis, arthritis or scoliosis If you have severe osteoporosis, please contact us before booking this class. We will contact you once we receive your booking to discuss your specific rehabilitation needs.

Spring / Upright & Strong – T (Short Course)

This is a 6 week class. This class is perfect for anyone who spends lots of time at a desk, feels their balance isn’t what it was, wants to improve muscular strength and bone density or just wants to feel more upright and aligned in everyday life. The passage of time and the rigours of daily life can leave us all feeling more stooped and tight across our neck, chest and shoulders. Increasingly longevity research is highlighting the importance of building and maintaining muscle mass as we age. It is also known that resistance work is essential to improving the quality of our bone density as our hormone balances shift through life. We have designed this Pilates class to help you stand taller and feel stronger. It’s about building strength from the inside out, with a focus on muscle development and bone density balance and posture optimisation. It will be taught by a very experienced teacher who is also a Chartered Physiotherapist and in a small group with a maximum of 10 people. This is a 5 week class. These classes are for absolute beginners or for those who have done a little Pilates in the past but have not done Pilates for some time. Exercises focus on learning the fundamentals including breathing, neutral spine and centering. Maximum of 12 participants. You are very welcome to join a class once the term has commenced.
