Myofascial Release Movement Class

Firstly, what is fascia? Quite simply, fascia is a connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles (including all your major organs), bones and nerves within the body. The tissue holds tension and the amount of tension should be just right to do its job properly. When fascia becomes tight or restricted it is due to overuse in sports training, injury, trauma, repetitive patterns of movement or lack of movement. Its properties are extremely special and until now fascia has not really been commonly understood but is vital to our wellbeing. Our Myofascial release movement class will give you a whole set of exercises to teach you how to massage and stretch your own body by yourself at home! Traditionally a form of manual therapy that uses massage and manual stretching techniques to release tension in the fascia, this class will be delivered in a format where Sue Wathan, trained in Myofascial movement, will teach you how to achieve this release in the comfort of your own home with the help of two simple small balls.
