Rehabilitation – T

This Pilates-based 6 week course has been designed by our in-house Physiotherapists and is the ideal class for anyone who is rehabilitating from shoulder, spinal, pelvic, hip, knee or ankle injuries but who is not ready to attend a standard Pilates class. There are a maximum of 8 people in a class so very close attention can be paid to each individual. We will commence with basic Pilates exercises and teach you the principles of engaging your core and finding a neutral spine. We will then progress your programme in a graded way each session. It is a safe and structured environment for you to speed up your recovery. This class is designed for those who are still undergoing physiotherapy treatment but have reached the stage where your rehabilitation is becoming more focused on exercise and return to activity and less on manual therapy. Your Physiotherapist will be able to guide you on when it is appropriate to start this class. The class is also suitable for those who have commenced rehabilitation and core stability exercises following surgery and their Orthopaedic Consultant, Osteopath or Chiropractor has advised core stability rehabilitation and Pilates are now appropriate. This is a 6 week class. These Reformer Pilates classes are for those who have never done Pilates before or may have done some mat work but are keen to work on the Reformer. This is a 6 week class. These classes are for absolute beginners or for those who have done a little Pilates in the past but have not done Pilates for some time. Exercises focus on learning the fundamentals including breathing, neutral spine and centering. Maximum of 12 participants. You are very welcome to join a class once the term has commenced.
