The Team » Sue

Sue started Pilates classes when she relocated from South Africa in 1998 where she had danced professionally with Cape Town City Ballet. Pilates dramatically changed the way she felt as her profession had put inevitable strain on her body and she was so impressed with the method that she decided to train as a teacher.

Sue also trained with Body Control Pilates® as a mat work teacher and then gained certification on the Reformer and other studio equipment shortly afterwards. Sue has recently started writing educational material for Pilates Teachers and has just completed writing an Advanced Classical Mat work course for Pilates Body Europe.

In her practical teaching Sue specialises in Pilates pre and post natal care and has extended her work into the field of Therapeutic Pilates which uses breathing and relaxation techniques to release muscles and reduce stress. It is not surprising therefor that she has an incredibly calming influence on those around her!
